Locked out of your car
Short answer: Ring 0161 883 4053 with the vehicle make, model, registration and exact location. Farnworth Locks handles vehicle lockouts and broken key extraction. We do not cut or program replacement car keys.
What to know
Keys locked inside with no spare is a lockout. Tell us if they are in the cabin, boot or ignition so we bring the right approach.
If keys are lost completely, we may still be able to help you access the vehicle depending on the car, but a new key must come from a dealer or key specialist. We will be clear on the phone.
If a key snapped in the door or ignition, broken key extraction may be possible on site. Any new key is arranged separately.
We come to the car on the driveway, at work, or in a car park across our patch, including Bolton, Walkden, Kearsley and Farnworth.
Common questions
Do I need ID when you arrive?
Yes. We need proof you are entitled to the vehicle before we unlock it. Have photo ID ready.
Can you make a new car key on site?
No. We open vehicles and extract broken keys. For a replacement key, contact your dealer or an auto locksmith who supplies keys.
Is it the same number as house lockouts?
Yes. 0161 883 4053 is the Farnworth Locks line for home, vehicle and commercial work.
